Mo' Bettahs Hawaiian Style Food: Authentic Hawaiian Cuisine in Dallas

I am on the email list for Mo' Bettahs, and through an email that was sent, they announced they were having a special for today only, a buy one get one free, on their regular plate lunch. I figured that was a great deal (and these days, who doesn't love a great deal?), and decided to pop in to place a to go order. Upon my arrival, I noticed they were very busy, which is always nice to see, especially seeing how many restaurants have closed recently in this economy. I was promptly greeted with a warm welcome, and placed my order. While it took a little longer than normal, I remained patient as I completely understood the workload the employees were up against. What resonated with me was they all still had their smiles on. The plate lunches were fantastic!! The Teriyaki Chicken was tender and moist as was the Kalua Pig (pork). The ambiance there was calm, with Hawaiian style music playing softly in the background and surfboards adding to the Hawaiian theme. I would highly recommend stopping in if you're craving a delicious Hawaiian meal!

I ate here last night with the kids because some friends wanted to go. The atmosphere is basically surfboards and a place on the beach. The food is good, if a bit salty - and I generally like salty food. The portions were generous and the food was tasty. I'd go back with friends for sure. I had the mini plate with Pulehu Chicken and veggies. The chicken was great, the veggies were mostly just broccoli - not much of a mix, but they were ok. Rice is rice, but it wasn't too dry and was fine. The shredded cabbage was completely blah and the macaroni salad would probably appeal to others, but I didn't find it compelling.

Pork was cooked to perfection. Rice had nice texture and flavor. Macaroni salad was great. The chicken was delicious and the portions were good. I even liked the box it was all served in, clean tight container. Thank you.

This is a food I crave. I order the same meal each time because I’m so satisfied and have no desire to try something else. It’s the grilled chicken and for my sides I do double macaroni salad. The rice is great too but I love the taste combo of the other two. The grilled chicken comes in medium/small type pieces and is on the thinner side. It is cooked to have charred crispy edges- the marinade is some sort of teriyaki like sauce that creates the bbq like, crispy texture and seals in the juices. So good! The macaroni salad is extra creamy with some chopped, vegetable pieces mixed in. There are dipping sauce options and you can add 2 to your order. The food is definitely flavorful enough without the sauce- but try them all bc they are good too! This meal is also a great value! I always get two meals out of one serving, making it just $6 and some change per serving. They have some interesting drinks too but I stick with water. I have tried two locations and they are both consistent and equally great. Make sure you join their rewards program on the app. They have the most generous rewards offering of any program I have joined. I often get a free meal with purchase and also accrue rewards for free add ons like drinks or dessert. I have not cashed those in yet. And if you have tried a similar style of Hawaiian fast food chain in the DFW area (which I will not name :), Mo’ Bettahs is far better in quality, taste and value.

I’ve been here several times, and from my very first visit, I knew the food was going to be great—and it always is. I usually order the katsu chicken, and it never disappoints. The portions are generous, and the chicken is always fresh. This spot is definitely a go-to when I’m craving some good mac salad and comfort food.

Yanette was such a great server. My first time with friends and family and we certainly enjoyed our meal and the drinks provided. From the chicken to the steak, it was filling and plenty to take home. Great portion for the price. The bathrooms lack a changing table for children and they didn’t have spoons which would be great to have out to offer but it was still a nice place to eat. The signature sauce and spicy mayo are delicious! Looking forward to going again!

First time trying out this Hawaiian style restaurant on Loop 12 in Dallas. It was Delicious!!! Taylor tried the Teri and Katsu plate and I got the Teri and Veggie Plate. We will definitely eat here again. AND they do have outdoor seating for when we have our dog Buddy with us. He's gonna love the chicken
